Empath being guided
Many of you know I’ve had my ups and downs with managing being highly sensitive or an empath as some call it. I wanted to share some of the people that have helped me through meditations and books. There is so much out there we don’t learn in school! If somebody told me that “ofcourse you can see what that man is feeling” when I was a kid or just explain to me that some children can sense when something is wrong before it happens. Like why sometimes I started to cry desperatly in a room where my parents were pretending they didn’t fight just before I entered the room. To me it felt like the room was about to explode! Now I understand all of this, years later. If only someone would have told me then, it would be so much easier to figure things out! But I might not have listened, like my dad always says; Do what you want, that’s what you do anyway!
Then again, it’s my journey, and I’ve made some choices that have been insane, crazy and some awsome ones. Who knows, maybe I would never have made them if I was all balanced and “together”… You see, because of my search, I’ve learned how to do things my own way and I might know how to guide to others who struggle in a similar way one day. I mean; I didn’t just read in a book how to be me. I did it by living, day by day. So, one of the people who has guided me the last few months is my friend Patricia who writes the blog http://decamvilledesign.wordpress.com/. She guided me to find my way and to find a filter for negativity, and stop being a sponge. I’m not completly there yet, but on my way. Here are some other places you can check out if you feel you need some guidance. I’m not going to tell you what to do, since that doesn’t work on me;-) But I can gently guide you…
I always think that everyone has to find out what’s right for them, so maybe you’ll find something for you here, maybe not, I just wanted to share a little bit of what’s enlightened my life lately:
Some mentors:
Louise L. Hay has helped me a lot, especially lately with her meditation apps: http://www.louisehay.com/
Hay House is Louise L. Hay amazing website filled with love: http://www.hayhouse.com/ & the Hay House Radio: http://www.hayhouseradio.com/
Doreen Virtue is just truly amazing, I love her apps, they have helped me release pain in my body: http://www.angeltherapy.com/

Have a day filled with peace and magic, and may you all find your own path and passion!
Please share if you have anything that you think can help me or others……….go on!

My dearest Anne, I found this post while I was cleaning out my mailbox which currently contains 16,000 over posts….(don’t ask). The miracle of course was finding THIS one which somehow popped out from nowhere and called out to me. I had only recently realised there was a name for that intuitive part of me – the empath which explains so many things like you so accurately wrote above. Which explains why we are moved to tears and why our hearts feel so deeply. I will check out your mentors. Louise Hay has been brilliant. Deepak Chopra, Thich Nhat Hanh and Abdul Baha are some that I have found to be of great guidance and consolation. Hugs to you my dear one. Sharon
Oh this so nice, I always feel like you are in my ” world” and when I read your blog I relate. See, we met because of blogging, how cool is that! One day maybe we’ll be having a coffee and talking… Who knows? I will check out your mentors too, Deepak Chopra is wonderful! So are you! Lots of love to you Sharon…
Thank you for stopping by
I, too, am an empath. I have had to work on my shielding, so as not to absorb other people’s “stuff.” In intimate circles, I will “check in” with folks. I do this by sending out “feelers.” This way I can sense if they need anything from me (an ear, a hug, etc.), without taking in their sorrows or ills.
That is very interesting, thanks for sharing, I will try to send out feelers as well and be more aware. Wish you a wonderful day Spider Goddes:-)
It is always great to feel even though sometimes we wish to not absorb and feel . . . I think it is about understanding what we feel and where it is coming from and that it is ok.
I have come to prefer or accept that it is the way I am – I am sensitive and going to sense and feel – this is me. And I have to be ok with me! It helps to have friends who like me just as I am
; ) This is also how I feel that it has to be and in return I like my friends just as they are!
Easy to say and something that I am still working on!
Reminder truly at the end of the day Life is Good! We are alive and blogging, right!
You go girl!
I’m still working on it as well… and yes we are alive and still blogging;-) Thank you for stopping by, it means so much to me to see that there are more of us out there! lots of love from me
i have this problem too! the world’s problems are my problems. thank you for being so honest and sharing your advice
I hope it helps, it’s not easy but there are more of us out there… have a magical day!
Hello my new friend,
I am happy to have found your blog and am gladly following. I think you have done a good job with your blog, so well done!
Here I would like to thank you for following my blog. I hope my blog is not disappointing and that you will continue enjoying my blog in each of your visits.
So thank you again, and lovely day to you!
Subhan Zein
Thank you so much Subhan, you have a beautiful day!
It is always comfy to know that someone else is on the same track..
We Libras are all same in our ways of feeling and expression. Only difference is that in my case the crying is totally internal.
We got eachother to lean on;-) I don’t cry as much in “public” anymore either, usually hide under the duvet… I wish you a wonderful day Somesh, and keep in balance;-) I’ll try to do the same…
The sun here sets earlier than there
It is already midnight
Hi Anne! What a great post! I feel like the last person to be giving guidance.
My own learning about empathy has been trial and error with finally success and if I can now be a resource for others, I am happy to. Thank you for the links. Lots of Love to you!! ~Patricia
Oh but you did help me so much just in the time I needed it the most! See, there are so many of us out there, it’s nice to have someone who understands! Yes you are a resource Partricia, lots of love to you too;-)
I’m going to investigate the Doreen Virtue apps because I like her too!
I have been so amazed at the result! Especially the regression and angel therapy, I think it’s so great that they are so affordable and easy. Let me know!
Thank you for spreading some positivity!
I’m happy you like, that means a lot to me…
Your post is full of light and positive energy – thanks for the inspiration!
That’s so nice to hear! Thank you:-)
I love Shakti Gawain’s writing. The first time I read living in the light I felt like she was talking to me. It is probably the book I credit most with putting me on the path I am today. Thank you for sharing your list
Yeah, she’s amazing! Thank you Leah, lots of light and love
